Trustee (Voluntary) - Disability Assist
Location: Kent (with opportunities to attend meetings remotely or hybrid)
Time Commitment: Attendance at Board meetings (currently held six times a year), AGM, and occasional subcommittee meetings.
About Disability Assist
Disability Assist is a user-led charity, run by disabled people for disabled people. Rooted in the Social Model of Disability, we champion independence, choice, and inclusion for disabled adults across Kent and Medway. Our dedicated team offers practical support, information, and advocacy services, enabling disabled people to take control of their lives and access the resources they need.

This is a voluntary position, offering you a unique opportunity to help transform the lives of disabled adults across Kent. We welcome interest from both seasoned board members and those seeking a first trustee role-your lived experience, empathy, and passion for inclusion are what matter most.
About You
We encourage applications from people of all ethnic, socio-economic, gender identity and faith backgrounds, particularly those who identify as disabled, have lived experience of disability or those who champion disability rights. The closing date for applications is 31st March 2025 with initial interviews taking place soon afterwards.
Shortlisted candidate interviews, held by Trustees, will take place in mid-April.
