Salary: Main Pay Scale (M1-M6) - £36,745 to £47,666 per annum

About the Role

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teacher to join our vibrant community of schools in Lambeth. This is a full-time position working with children across a range of settings - including mainstream schools supporting pupils with SEN, as well as specialist provisions and SEN schools.

This is an exciting opportunity for a teacher who is committed to inclusive education and who wants to make a meaningful difference to pupils with a variety of additional needs, including ASD, speech and language difficulties, SEMH, and complex learning profiles.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver high-quality, differentiated lessons that cater to the individual needs of pupils with SEN.
• Work closely with SENCOs, learning support assistants, therapists, and families to create tailored learning programmes.
• Monitor and assess student progress, using a range of strategies and assessment tools.
• Contribute to EHCP planning, reviews, and reporting.
• Foster a positive, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment.
• Adapt teaching approaches across different educational settings including both mainstream and special schools within the Lambeth borough.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) - essential.
• Experience teaching pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in either mainstream or special school settings.
• Strong understanding of SEND Code of Practice and inclusive teaching practices.
• Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills.
• A flexible, proactive, and compassionate approach to teaching.
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all children.
