HR Consultant 3-Month Contract - remote
A well established, global business are looking for a seasoned HR Consultant to join them and lead a full audit of their US HR function. With 50 employees spread across various states, this role requires a skilled professional who understands the multi-state employment laws and the challenges of navigating these complexities. You will be responsible for conducting a thorough audit of the current HR framework, identifying compliance risks, operational gaps, and areas for improvement. This includes reviewing and updating HR policies, contracts, and employee handbooks to ensure they align with the diverse legal requirements of each state.
Beyond compliance, you will work closely with senior leadership to develop a strategic roadmap to guide the organisation towards a more structured and legally sound HR function.
We re looking for someone with prior experience working with offices based in the US and experience in managing compliance across multiple jurisdictions. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, the ability to navigate complex legal landscapes, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. Your role will be critical in ensuring the business remains compliant, operationally efficient, and aligned with its broader strategic goals.
Requirements:
Proven experience in US employment law and managing multi-state HR compliance
Strong background in HR audits, policy development, and risk management
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Available for an immediate 3-month contract
This project will run in parallel with a similar HR audit in the UK, ensuring a coordinated global HR strategy.
