Roofer

Our Client is seeking a Roofer on an initial 3 Month contract with the possibility of an extension.

Start Date: ASAP

Pay Rate: 25.00 Per Hour PAYE

Location: W8 6PW

Working Hours: 37 Hours Per Week, 07:30 - 16:00

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

• To be able to service, and repair all types of flat and pitched roofing
• To renew a completely new flat or pitched roof.
• Replace and repair lead work including installing gas sleeves.
• Carry out repointing and rendering of chimneys.
• Cut in rafters as required.
• Replace Facia and Soffits
• Renew brickwork and carry out repointing on gable ends
• Assessing problems, interpreting complex information about various types of roofing systems, and deciding on the appropriate measures to correct faults without delay requires analytical and judgmental Skills.
• Order scaffolding; discuss design/layout on-site when required.
• Assist and advise maintenance surveyors to analyze roofing faults.
• Organise and liaison with the scaffold company to ensure the scaffold configuration is correct.
• Arrange an appointment with the tenant to repair.

Skills and Experience:

• Clean driving licence
  
• PASMA ticket
  
• SH experience
  
• Working at heights training
  
• PDA experience
• City & Guilds, NVQ level 3 qualification or similar experience.
• A modern apprenticeship is a form of craft apprentice or similar experience.
• Sound working experience in domestic maintenance.
• Ability to work at heights.
• Demonstrate knowledge of participating in good practices i.e. H & S
• Must be able to carry out a full range of duties
• To have detailed knowledge of all other building crafts.
• Show the ability to be able to carry out other minor trade tasks.
• Knowledge of organizing own workload.
