Engineering Planning Manager - Automation Excellence

About the Role

Join us in revolutionising retail automation as our Engineering Planning Manager. You'll architect and implement world-class maintenance strategies across our network of highly automated distribution centers, driving innovation and operational excellence through data-driven decision making and strategic planning.

Your Mission

Transform our engineering operations by developing and implementing cutting-edge planning frameworks that maximise equipment reliability, optimise maintenance strategies, and drive operational excellence across our automated estate.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership

  • Continuously improve and implement innovative engineering planning strategies for our most technologically advanced distribution and fulfilment centers.
  • Lead the development of our CMMS system and maintenance programs
  • Drive continuous improvement through data analysis and performance tracking
  • Contribute to long-term automation strategy alongside senior leadership

Technical Excellence

  • Architect world-class maintenance planning frameworks
  • Develop sophisticated audit programs ensuring compliance and performance
  • Create and implement tools for performance tracking and trend analysis
  • Guide capital investment decisions through data-driven insights
  • Optimise critical spares management across the estate

Innovation & Analysis

  • Design and develop analytical tools to track and trend performance metrics
  • Implement best-in-class planning and scheduling principles
  • Lead the integration of modern maintenance technologies and methodologies
  • Drive efficiency improvements through data-driven decision making

What You'll Bring

Essential Experience

  • Proven leadership in engineering planning or maintenance scheduling
  • Deep understanding of CMMS systems and maintenance strategies
  • Strong background in project and program delivery
  • Previous experience in the planning scheduling or auditing of large multi disciplined engineering functions at a leadership level
  • Experience managing large-scale engineering operations
  • Experience managing large stores and parts inventories.
  • Advanced Excel and SQL skills for data analysis

Technical Expertise

  • Engineering planning and scheduling principles
