My client is seeking a dedicated Rehousing Support Officer to provide a first-class service to tenants and leaseholders undergoing estate renewal. This pivotal role ensures a smooth and supported transition from existing homes to new homes, making a real impact in the community.
What You'll Do:Act as a trusted point of contact for residents, guiding them through the rehousing process with empathy and care.
Work closely with internal teams to deliver vacant possession of properties in line with key milestones.
Support residents through temporary and permanent rehousing, managing decant chains and ensuring housing policies and agreements are met.
Maintain accurate data, monitor KPIs, and contribute to the continuous improvement of housing services.
Lead on sensitive and complex cases, providing innovative solutions and clear communication throughout the process.
Experience working on estate renewal or major works schemes in a resident-facing role.
Strong understanding of housing allocations, lettings, and void management.
Proven ability to manage complex casework with tact, empathy, and professionalism.
A proactive, resident-first approach with a commitment to delivering high-quality service.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work across departments and build effective partnerships.
Site visits and evening meetings are part of the role - time off in lieu will be provided.
Regular travel within Southwark will be required.
