A Local Authority in London is seeking an experienced Senior Building Surveyor to join their Housing Division. With responsibility for over 10,000 residential properties and an annual investment of £20m+ in planned maintenance and improvements, this role is crucial in shaping the future of their housing stock.
Your new role
Conduct detailed property surveys and recommend necessary improvements.Plan and assess future building works to maintain optimal housing conditions.Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure high professional standards.Use innovative solutions to address investment needs within budget constraints.What you'll need to succeedDegree in Building Surveying or equivalent.Minimum of 4 years post-graduate construction experience, preferably in local government.Proficiency in MS Word, MS Excel, AutoCAD, and asset management systems.Full UK driving licence and access to a car.Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with diverse tenant populations.Experience in social housing and knowledge of HHSRS surveys.Familiarity with hand-held surveying devices.What you'll get in returnFlexible working options available.
