Join our amazing school for boys as a Salon Skills Instructor. Located in Tower Hamlets, our specialist SEN day school caters to secondary-age boys with complex needs. The school has a brand-new salon room, equipped with modern facilities, providing a perfect environment for vocational learning. This role is ideal for someone skilled in hairdressing/barbering and passionate about making a significant impact in a supportive and rewarding setting.

Day-to-day of the role:

• Lead engaging, hands-on sessions in hairdressing and grooming.
• Create a calm, welcoming space in our new, modern salon room where students feel safe and supported.
• Encourage creativity, teamwork, and self-expression through salon-based activities.
• Support students with emotional and behavioural needs in a patient manner.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Professional experience in hairdressing and grooming.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work empathetically with students who have complex social, emotional, and behavioural difficulties.
• Passion for vocational education and a commitment to making a difference in young people's lives.
• Patience, creativity, and a highly supportive approach to teaching and mentoring.
