About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Gardener to join our team. You will be responsible for maintaining the gardens to the highest standards, leading a small team, and contributing to the planning and implementation of new, climate-resilient planting features.
Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain designated garden areas to the highest standards.
• Lead and mentor a team of gardeners and apprentices.
• Ensure healthy and sustainable plant and soil management.
• Plan and execute seasonal and project tasks.
• Operate garden tools and machinery safely and competently.
• Safeguard the health and safety of staff, students, and the public.
• Address garden and staff-related issues promptly.
• Contribute to risk assessments and health and safety audits.
• Assist with winter snow clearance.

The ideal candidate would have:

• Good knowledge and experience of working in gardens
• RHS level 3, National Diploma in Horticulture, NVQ level 3
• PA1 & PA6
• Knowledgable about plants
