Mechanical Design Engineer

Key Experience

• Concept design through to detailed product design.
• Producing CAD models and Engineering drawings to the requirements of BS 8888.
• Selection of Engineering materials.
• Knowledge of manufacturing technologies and processes.
• Production support, documentation and assembly & test tooling.
• Liaise with sub-contractors for the manufacture of mechanical parts.

Key Attributes

• A degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent qualification.
• Packaging of electronic assemblies (EMC, power dissipation etc).
• Background knowledge of Electro-magnetics.
• Understanding of sensor & transducer technologies.
• Experience of low volume manufacturing.
• Able to work off own initiative or as part of a team.
• Self-motivated with a hands-on approach.
