An exciting opportunity has arisen for experienced Principal Mechanical Design Engineers to join a leading defence organization in Stevenage, where you'll work on ground-breaking complex weapons and weapon systems that help protect national security.

What You'll Do:

• Lead mechanical design work packages across the full product lifecycle
• Develop mechanical solutions for complex systems
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams
• Engage with suppliers and stakeholders
• Work on international projects with potential overseas travel
• Drive innovation in mechanical design and development

What You'll Need:

• Degree/HND/HNC in relevant field
• Experience in mechanical design and development, specializing in:
• Mechanisms
• Structures
• Assembly and Integration
• Concept development
• Strong leadership abilities
• Experience with 3D CAD/CAE tools
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills
• Understanding of structural/thermal/dynamic analysis (advantageous)
• Ability to obtain required security clearance
