The School and Role

This multi-academy school, based in Castle Point are looking to appoint a passionate and creative English Teacher to work in a friendly and supportive English department on a long-term basis. Working in this Secondary School as part of an established team, the desired English Teacher will be planning and delivering lessons to KS3-KS4 students. This is a long-term role, offering fantastic CPD opportunities and a clear progression structure. This is an excellent opportunity for an English Teacher who is seeking a new challenge, working with students from areas of high deprivation and with additional behavioural needs. This school offers free on-site parking and also has transport links via regular bus routes and Greater Anglia train. Initially this is a long-term role, with the view to become permanent for September 2025.

Requirements

The desired English Teacher will;

• Be able to create a safe and positive learning environment.
• Have high expectations of their students and enjoy working in a thriving English department.
• Be able to deliver creative and engaging lessons up to KS4.
• Have a good knowledge of the UK Curriculum.
• PGCE in English with QTS and right to work in the UK.
• Suitable for ECTs!
