Director of Investment Operations & Reporting

A leading financial services organisation is seeking a senior leader to take ownership of its investment operations and reporting function. This is a high-impact role sitting at the heart of finance, investment, risk and treasury - ideal for someone with deep experience across middle and back office operations, liquidity risk, collateral management, and investment reporting in a life insurance or similarly regulated environment.

This is a 6 month contract with an expectation of 2/3 days in the London office.

The Opportunity:

This role is responsible for overseeing a large team and managing strategic relationships across finance, actuarial, risk, capital management and investment functions. You will:

• Own and lead end-to-end investment operations, from trade validation to settlements, investment accounting, and reporting.
• Lead the short-term liquidity management framework and reporting across group entities.
• Oversee collateral management for derivative and reinsurance arrangements.
• Be the business owner for a group-wide Treasury Management System (TMS).
• Chair or contribute to key committees, including ALCO and Complex Asset Valuation.

About You:

You're an experienced investment operations or treasury leader with:

• A strong background in life insurance, pensions, or another regulated financial institution.
• Experience in middle and back office investment operations, collateral management, and investment reporting (IFRS, Solvency II, regulatory).
• Knowledge of complex illiquid asset classes and Treasury Management Systems (ideally Quantum).
• Experience engaging with senior stakeholders across finance, capital, risk, actuarial and legal.

An accountancy or actuarial qualification is required; treasury or investment qualifications would be advantageous.
