Science Teacher - Canterbury, Kent
The Role:
Academics are seeking an enthusiastic, dedicated, and qualified Science Teacher to join a vibrant secondary school in Canterbury. The successful candidate will be required to teach Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 Science, with the potential to teach Key Stage 5 if you have the appropriate specialism. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about inspiring young minds and fostering a love for science.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and effective lessons in Science to Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 students.
- Encourage students to achieve their full potential through tailored support and dynamic teaching methods.
- Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to support their development.
- Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes curiosity and independent learning.
- Collaborate with colleagues to continually improve the science curriculum and teaching strategies.
- Potential to teach Key Stage 5 Science for a candidate with a relevant specialism.
The Ideal Candidate:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- A strong background in Science, with a specialism in Biology, Chemistry, or Physics.
- Experience teaching Key Stage 3 & 4 students (Key Stage 5 experience is desirable) in UK schools.
- Passionate about fostering an engaging and inclusive learning environment.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students and staff.
- A proactive and enthusiastic approach to teaching with a commitment to raising standards.
