Embedded Software Engineer

Our client, a leading organisation in the Defence & Security sector, is currently seeking an Embedded Software Engineer to join their team on a 12-month contract. This role is part of an Electronic Warfare (EW) programme and offers hybrid working arrangements. Candidates must be SC cleared or able to obtain SC clearance.

• Developing embedded software using C/C++ within an Electronic Warfare context
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and test software solutions
• Writing and maintaining efficient and reliable code
• Participating in code reviews and providing constructive feedback
• Ensuring software meets all requirements and industry standards
• Debugging and resolving software issues
• Documenting software development processes and technical specifications
• Adhering to project deadlines and milestones

• Experience in embedded software engineering
• Proficiency in Embedded C/C++
• Understanding of software engineering principles and practices
• Experience within the Defence & Security sector, particularly in EW programmes, is highly beneficial
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work effectively in a hybrid working environment
• SC clearance or eligibility to obtain SC clearance
