Accounts Administrator

Success Recruit are currently working with an established family run construction business based near Billericay in Essex seeking a full time Accounts Administrator to support the Office Manager and team in a fast-paced busy environment. This position will suit someone who has proven experience with general administration, knowledge of accounts and sales order processing alongside a friendly customer service manner and initiative.

The successful Accounts Administrator will be expected to:

• Have confident, professional communication skills with a desire to problem solve where required
• Able to demonstrate self-motivation and efficiency with an ability to multi-task, meeting deadlines
• Have a good knowledge level in Excel and other Microsoft platforms

Job Description:

The purpose of the Accounts Administrator is to proactively support this busy and growing business allowing the office manager to effectively work at a more strategic level within the business, supporting with all general accounts administration and building strong relationships with engineers/clients daily.

Duties to include but not limited to:

• Answering the telephone and dealing with enquiries
• Managing a busy inbox on the Company system responding and prioritising appropriately

• Collecting and organising timesheets for engineers in a timely manner working to deadlines
• Obtaining receipts, recording expenses & checking against credit cards
• Updating excel spreadsheets with job orders
• Updating engineer diaries and managing workloads
• Ensuring company vehicle logs are maintained, when required
• Typing up quotes and sending via email
• Invoicing, Sales & Purchase Ledger
• Supporting with accounts alongside office manager when required
• Providing general administrative support ensuring operational processes are efficiently maintained and supported

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working within a happy environment in a varied and busy role, alongside a desire to build and maintain excellent relationships with engineers, clients, and team within a construction environment. Previous experience working in a small, but busy accounts / administration environment is an advantage as no day is the same.

Hours: 9am - 5pm Mon to Friday - NB Due to location, you will need to drive and own car.

Salary: 25k - 28k per annum DOE
