Fire Door Engineer

Location: South East England, including London
Employment Type: Full-time (45 hours, Monday-Friday)

Role Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Fire Door Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be travelling to client sites ranging from apartment blocks to schools on a daily basis to repair and install fire doors. Our primary operating area is the A12 corridor between Ipswich and London, and the Greater London area.

Key Responsibilities:

• Repair and install fire doors in compliance with relevant legislation and safety standards;
• Perform fire stopping and compartmentation works to ensure compliance with fire safety regulations;
• Carry out general property maintenance tasks, ensuring quality and attention to detail;
• Travel daily to client sites, with some overnight stays required (expenses covered); and
• Deliver excellent customer service at all times while representing ExempliBuild.

Essential Candidate Attributes:

• Proven carpentry experience, ideally including fire doors;
• Strong work ethic, teamwork, and a can-do attitude;
• Ability to work on own initiative while following procedures and legislation accurately;
• Strong customer service skills and personal presentation; and
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel daily.

Desirable Candidate Attributes:

• Qualified fire door installer; and
• Experience in fire stopping/compartmentation.
