The Opportunity

We're seeking an experienced HVAC Specialist to Manage our dynamic team and lead our technical standards development and continuous improvement plans. This is a strategic role where you'll drive innovation, sustainability, and operational excellence across our entire estate.

Location: This is a regional role, however you will be required to attend the Welwyn Garden City (Head Office) occasionally for meetings

Your Impact

As our HVAC Engineering Specialist, you'll:

• Spearhead the development of cutting-edge HVAC standards, focusing on energy efficiency and low-carbon technologies
• Lead strategic planning for new stores, capital replacements, and decarbonisation initiatives
• Drive innovation in HVAC systems, including plant equipment, air handling units, and control infrastructure
• Collaborate with industry experts and stakeholders to deliver world-class engineering solutions
• Analyze system performance and develop data-driven improvement strategies
• Champion sustainable technologies and cost-effective solutions that align with our environmental commitments

What You Bring

• Engineering or relevant qualifications
• HVAC Design & Technology experience
• Proven expertise in commercial HVAC applications
• Strong background in HVAC project design and specification writing
• In-depth knowledge of current HVAC industry standards and legislation
• Demonstrated experience in sustainable HVAC solutions

Desired Qualifications

• Mechanical Engineering Degree
• IEng (Incorporated Engineer) accreditation
• CEng (Chartered Engineer) status
• Active involvement with industry bodies
