We are seeking a skilled professional to take the lead in managing internal and external audits, maintaining compliance registers, and ensuring adherence to industry standards. This is a key role within our business, working across multiple frameworks and supporting the development of our SHEQ Management System.

The Role

As SHEQ Compliance Lead, you will be the primary point of contact for compliance matters, with a strong focus on CDM regulations and framework compliance. Your responsibilities will include:

• Developing and maintaining SHEQ policies, ensuring compliance with industry standards and legislation.
• Supporting external audits and driving continuous improvement in compliance practices.
• Advising operational teams on regulatory changes and ensuring they are effectively implemented.
• Building strong relationships with internal teams, regulatory bodies, and auditors.

What Our Client Is Looking For

To thrive in this role, you will need:

• A NEBOSH General or Construction Certificate (or equivalent).
• Significant experience in Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality (SHEQ), within utilities, civil engineering, or infrastructure.
• CQI/IRCA Internal Auditor certification in at least 1 of either ISO9001, ISO14001 or ISO45001.
• A proactive approach to compliance, with the ability to communicate complex regulatory requirements effectively.
