? Role Overview - Reception Teacher

As a Reception teacher in the UK, your day typically includes:

• Morning welcome & registration - greeting children and settling them into the day.
• Phonics and early literacy - delivering engaging lessons to build foundational reading and writing skills.
• Numeracy activities - introducing basic maths concepts through play and structured tasks.
• Child-led learning & play - supporting children in continuous provision areas (e.g., role play, construction, creative arts).
• Outdoor learning - encouraging exploration and physical development in outdoor spaces.
• Snack time & story sessions - fostering social skills and a love of reading.
• Observations & assessments - tracking progress through the EYFS framework.
• End-of-day routines - reflection, story time, and preparing children for home.

You'll be working alongside a friendly team who value creativity, kindness, and a child-centred approach.

? Requirements

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Experience in EYFS or KS1
• Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service
• A warm, engaging teaching style with excellent classroom management
