Toddler Room Leader

Our client a lovely well known nursery in Reading are looking for a Full time qualified and experienced Room Leader for their Toddler room or x 2 Part time staff

- Hours of work would be Monday - Friday 8am-6pm (Negotiable for the right candidate)

As a Room leader you will responsible for the day-to-day running of the toddler room

• Recording progress: Observing and assessing children's progress, and writing reports

• Supporting parents: Handling questions and concerns from parents and carers

• Implementing new ideas: Using creativity and reflection to improve practices

• Creating a positive learning environment: Ensuring the room is stimulating and supportive for children's learning and development
• Keeping children safe: Identifying and minimizing risks to children's safety, and establishing emergency procedures
• Building relationships: Developing positive relationships with children, parents, and carers
• Supervising staff: Mentoring and training staff members, and assigning tasks
• Complying with regulations: Ensuring the nursery complies with all regulatory requirements

Ideal candidiate should have the following:

• Knowledge of child development

• Knowledge of safeguarding processes

• Knowledge of the EYFS curriculum

• Health and safety awareness

• Organizational skills

• The ability to work well in a team

• Good communication skills
