Job Requirements/Description

We are currently working with a construction equipment supplier based in Brentwood Essex as they look to add a Technical Team Leader to their division.

The primary focus of this role is to assist and support Sales Engineers in meeting customer requirements by providing a comprehensive first class technical service.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintaining the operational performance of the Technical Office
  • Understand company Technical design strategy.
  • Production of accurate and economical drawings, schedules and quotations
  • Safety and well-being of all staff, customers and visitors
  • Maintenance and upkeep of all Company assets, property and services in conjunction with Facilities Manager.
  • Provide technical advice on all products to customers and internal sales engineers
  • Actively promote the supply of a first class technical service and lead by example

Collaboration:

  • Develop relationships with Sales Engineers to promote efficient use of Technical resource.
  • Representing the Technical Team to collaborate with and support other regions and functions
  • Working closely with other TTL's to share relevant information
  • Work closely with the EMT to ensure consistent, efficient working practices

Support:

  • Recruitment of suitable staff
  • Safeguarding the induction / further development of Technical staff
  • Communication of all key information to their Technical teams.

Professional Requirements:

  • HNC Minimum in a Construction related subject i.e. Civil Engineering
  • Management Skills
  • Health and Safety
  • Experience in managing a team of comparable size
  • Experience in management and staff development
  • Good experience in all aspects of Formwork and Falsework designs
  • Scaffolding experience
  • Strong, managerial personality able to lead and motivate a team
  • Strong on communication and social skills
  • Objective-orientated
  • Strong work ethic, open and reliable
  • Outstanding organisational skills

Other Criteria:

  • Good knowledge of AutoCAD / PERIcad
  • Good knowledge of Design Analysis Programmes
