Opportunity for an Emerging Companies & Venture Capital Senior/Managing Associate to join a Tier 1 Media & Entertainment firm in London.

The Opportunity

The firm's Emerging Companies & Venture Capital team sits within its wider market-leading Corporate practice and advises both emerging companies and investors across the full investment lifecycle.

The team is now looking to hire an Emerging Companies & Venture Capital Senior/Managing Associate to work across a broad range of venture capital and corporate transactions, from early-stage financings and investment rounds through to later-stage investments, M&A and exits.

The new Emerging Companies & Venture Capital Senior/Managing Associate will take significant responsibility for transactions and client relationships, alongside supervising junior lawyers and playing an active role in the continued development and growth of the practice.

This will include:

• Leading and managing complex venture capital and corporate transactions
• Advising on early-stage financings and later-stage investment rounds
• Acting on M&A transactions and exits
• Advising founders, entrepreneurs, emerging companies and investors
• Structuring and negotiating investment rounds
• Drafting and negotiating subscription agreements, shareholders' agreements and term sheets
• Providing ongoing corporate advice to venture-backed businesses as they scale
• Advising on governance, fundraising and employee incentive arrangements
• Acting for venture capital funds and institutional investors on portfolio investments and exits

Required

• Qualified VC solicitor with 6+ years' experience
• Experience leading and managing venture capital and corporate transactions
• Strong experience acting for founders, emerging companies and/or investors
• Experience drafting and negotiating key venture capital transaction documents
