Salary from £53,204 to £61,301 pa inclusive with potential to progress to £68,119 pa inclusive of London allowance

The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) is proud to offer an exciting opportunity for an experienced and dedicated individual to join our Philanthropy & Global Engagement team as Scholarship Programme Manager for the Uggla Family Scholars Programme. This prestigious initiative, generously funded by LSE alumnus Lance Uggla and the Uggla Family Foundation, provides transformational support to undergraduate students from underrepresented backgrounds, covering tuition and living costs and offering comprehensive academic, professional, and personal development.

The successful candidate will dedicate at least 50% of their time to managing the Uggla Family Scholars Programme. Additionally, they will oversee other PAGE-wide scholarship programmes.

We are looking for a candidate who will play a key role in shaping, managing, and delivering a unique scholarship programme that nurtures leadership, community, and long-term alumni engagement. This role builds on an already successful programme and we welcome applications from dynamic individuals who are passionate about equity, diversity, and social mobility in higher education.

The Role

Successful candidates will:

1. Lead Scholar Engagement and Support

• Act as the primary point of contact for Uggla Family Scholars, offering personalised support through one-on-one coaching, academic and professional development plans, and pastoral care.
• Facilitate a thriving, inclusive community through regular events and direct collaboration with scholars and alumni.

2. Deliver and Evolve the Programme:

• Design, coordinate and continuously enhance a high-impact support programme focused on mentoring, leadership development, and professional readiness.
• Engage with internal stakeholders and the Uggla Family Foundation to deliver meaningful programming and create long-lasting impact.

3. Manage Stakeholder Communication and Reporting:

• Work closely with donors, internal teams, and partner institutions to ensure seamless coordination and clear, timely communication.
• Prepare reports and updates on the programme's progress, manage financial oversight, and ensure the donor's vision is faithfully reflected.

The Candidate:

• Educated to degree level or equivalent.
• Proven experience designing and delivering student development programmes with a focus on mentoring, coaching and leadership.
• Excellent organisational and project management skills.
• Excellent relationship management and interpersonal skills.
• A collaborative and flexible mindset, with a willingness to innovate and adapt to evolving student needs.
