Maintenance & Compliance SupervisorEast Hertfordshire Up to £48,000 DOE + 40 hours per week + 30 days holiday + Bank Holidays + PensionExcellent opportunity for an experienced and proactive Maintenance and Compliance professional to join a respected and well-established organisation, taking ownership of building maintenance and statutory compliance across a varied and high-profile estate.This organisation operates across a diverse range of properties and facilities, with an established Estates team that values teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement. You'll have the opportunity to work on a broad estate including residential accommodation, educational and leisure buildings, sports facilities, and landscaped grounds.This hands-on role involves leading a team delivering both planned and reactive maintenance while ensuring compliance across all statutory areas, including fire safety, water hygiene, asbestos, electrical, gas, and building safety. You'll manage maintenance schedules, supervise contractors, oversee asset registers, and ensure accurate compliance reporting through digital management systems.The ideal candidate will be a confident and organised supervisor with a strong technical background in maintenance or building services. You'll bring a working knowledge of health and safety legislation, compliance audits, and facilities management systems, as well as the ability to motivate a small team and liaise effectively with senior management and external partners.This is a fantastic opportunity to take ownership of maintenance and compliance across a significant estate, within a professional, collaborative, and forward-thinking environment.The Role: Maintenance and Building Compliance Supervisor Responsible for both planned and reactive maintenance across multiple buildings Lead on statutory compliance including fire safety, asbestos, legionella, and gas safety Supervise maintenance staff and external contractors Manage compliance records, asset registers, and reporting through management systems Monitor and deliver cyclical and preventative maintenance schedulesThe Person: Experienced in a maintenance, estates, or facilities management role with supervisory responsibility Strong understanding of statutory compliance and health & safety legislation Relevant qualification in maintenance, building services, or a trade discipline IOSH/NEBOSH or similar safety qualification desirableReference Number: BBBH263946
