Activities Coordinator required at Wray Common Nursing & Residential Home, Reigate, Surrey RH2 0ND.

Hours: 5 days per week. 35-40 Hours per week

Our Home is a well established 52 bedded care home in Reigate with a warm, comfortable and homely atmosphere, where we promote an excellent standard of personalised care for our residents.

Do you have creative flare & want to make a difference everyday?

We are looking for an Activities Coordinator with well developed skills and original ideas to organise and run activities and events for our residents. From pumpkin-carving, to budding gardening, crafts and more - no two days will be the same as you support our residents to try new things and ensure they feel connected with the wider community.

The things you will be doing:

Organise varied activities within the Home to cater for a variety of interests and life stories for groups of residents.

Meet targets set out to improve our resident's lives which includes getting to know every resident through our 'Resident of the Day' programme.

Work together with other local community groups and the wider local area.

Bring fun, ideas, and energy into our residents' lives, inspiring them through great relationships, and delivering a range of thought-provoking wellbeing activities.

Arrange key events throughout the year, such as seasonal celebrations & charity events

About You

We are looking for someone who is friendly, welcoming, and entertaining, and who would design activities to meet the interests of all residents.

An understanding of the care sector would be advantageous

Have a friendly & caring attitude

Good planning & development skills

Able to engage well with the residents and their families

Be pro-active, passionate, and a supportive team player.

You may have experience as

An entertainment coordinator, wellbeing, lifestyle, wellbeing, drama, social recreation, teacher, events coordinator or care assistant.
