SANZA Teaching agency are currently seeking an experienced teaching assistant to work on a 1:1 basis with a small group of key children in early years (reception). The children all have a diagnosis of Autism.

Key responsibilities:

• Working 1:1 with key children and in small groups
• Supporting children with their learning and development
• Providing feedback to the class teacher and SEN team on children's progress
• Helping with the supervision of children during break times
• Maintaining a safe and stimulating learning environment

About you:

• Experience as a teaching assistant, preferably in the early years (EYFS) reception/nursery
• A solid understanding of the early years curriculum
• Experience supporting children with Autism and additional needs
• Excellent communication skills
• Must be mobile and active as younger children are likely to run around/be very active
• A genuine desire to support young children with special needs
