SEN Teaching Assistant

We're currently looking for an enthusiastic SEN specialist Learning Support Assistant to work on an ad hoc basis either full time or part time across primary schools in Barking and Dagenham, specifially supporting children with Autism/ complex needs.

Full time long term positions are also available.

Our team has built an excellent reputation in the local area, and we're looking for more high-quality, SEN specialist Learning Support Assistants to work with these schools to positively impact the progress and attainment of their pupils.

• Working 121 with children with severe Autism / complex needs
• Working with non-verbal children using Makaton and PECS to communicate
• Providing intervention support with tailored lessons
• Providing personal care for ASD children who are in need of toiletting support
• Working with children who display challenging behaviours
• support for EYFS, KS1 & KS2 students

• Experience working with primary aged children with severe learning difficulties including Autism
• Knowledge of PECS or Makaton to communicate with non-verbal children
• Bags of creativity for stimulating and engaging pupils
• Experience working with children who display challenging behaviours
