Costs & Investment Accountant

Our client, situated in the heart of Gravesend is seeking to employ a Cost & Investments Accountant with a direct report to the Chief Accountant.

The Job:

To be responsible for managing the cash flow and to ensure sufficient funds for operational requirements and to ensure any surplus funds can be invested. The provision of secure, accurate and timely management and statutory accounting information.

Responsibilities:

• Cash & Investments Management
• Develop & maintain a robust cash management system
• Closely liaise with other with other departments
• Co-ordinate the placement of investments of surplus funds, both short and long term
• Produce regular reports and collate information on investments for Auditors and Tax Consultants
• Monitor and reconcile the recording of financial information. Interpret, analyse, review and check accuracy and integrity of information
• Assist with producing annual financial statements, budgets, forecasts and long-term plans

Skills & experience:

• ACCA qualified with a minimum of 5 years experience
• Experience of cash/investment management and financial management accounting
• Advanced spreadsheet skills. Experience of using accounting software
• High standard of Numeracy/Literacy. Excellent communication skills
