Asset Manager / DevelopmentSurveyor:Senior Surveyor to work within one of the UK's most iconic and complex property portfolios.
Support and play a key role in day-to-day and strategic management of a diverse estate comprising both Operational and Non-Operational assets, including historic and modern freehold and leasehold properties.
Working within a multi-disciplinary team and reporting into senior estates leadership, you'll be responsible for a broad range of estate and property management functions, acting as an Intelligent Client to external advisors and service providers.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and optimise the performance of a complex, multi-use property portfolio across the estate.
- Lead and deliver on Landlord and Tenant matters, lease renewals, rent reviews, acquisitions, disposals, and asset rationalisation.
- Support the development and implementation of estate management strategies and asset improvement programmes.
- Act as Intelligent Client to external professional service providers, ensuring advice and deliverables align with programme objectives.
- Provide specialist property advice on operational and non-operational assets.
- Contribute to the successful delivery of high-value programmes and projects involving complex, sensitive property matters.
- Work collaboratively with internal project teams, property, FM, and programme colleagues on long-term asset planning and development.
Essential Skills & Experience:
- Proven experience in estate/asset management, development, or corporate real estate.
- Deep understanding of Landlord and Tenant law, property strategy, and valuation principles.
- Track record of working within complex, multi-stakeholder environments - ideally with government or large institutional estates.
- Strong financial and commercial awareness with experience of budgeting, forecasting, and performance reporting.
- Excellent communication and influencing skills with the ability to operate credibly at senior levels.
- Experience managing third-party consultants and service providers.
Desirable:
- A blend of public and private sector experience.
- Chartered Surveyor (MRICS) status, or equivalent experience at senior surveyor level within the property and estates sector.
- Experience working within government, public sector, or heritage environments.
- Familiarity with NEC/JCT contract administration and property-related project delivery.
The role is an interim contract inside IR35. Gross umbrella rate £700-725pd.
Security vetting is require for this role. The client will sponsor vetting for the successful candidates - onboarding is subject to clearance and can take 4-8 weeks.
