Senior Electrical Engineer £60,000-£80,000Location: North West LondonA leading engineering client is looking for a Senior Electrical Engineer to join their team delivering complex infrastructure projects across rail, highways, power, and tunneling sectors.This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to high-profile, technically challenging projects while working in a collaborative, innovative, and sustainable environment.Why This Role?- Competitive salary with yearly appraisals- Travel expenses covered for project assignments- 24/7 Perkbox membership for benefits, wellbeing tools, and discounts- Life Assurance and Private Medical Insurance- Generous pension scheme- 25 days holiday plus bank holidays, including Christmas shutdownAbout the Role- The Senior Electrical Engineer will provide end-to-end electrical engineering services, including:- Design and engineering up to 33kV for large infrastructure projects- System studies such as load flow, short circuit, protection coordination, harmonics, arc flash, and equipment sizing- Review of designs for safety, compliance, maintainability, and constructability- Collaboration with CAD/BIM teams to resolve clashes and interface issues- Liaison with installation teams, manufacturers, and subcontractors- Support for project planning, commercial tracking, and reporting- This is a hands-on role ensuring projects meet programme, budget, and quality requirements while delivering safe, sustainable, and efficient electrical solutions.Skills & Experience- Expertise in Low and High Voltage (up to 33kV) power distribution design- Strong knowledge of electrical engineering standards, legislation, and compliance- Experience with electrical design software (Amtech/Trimble, Cymap, ETAP, etc.)- Familiarity with 18th Edition IEE Wiring Regulations- Understanding of design, installation, and commissioning processes- Experience in rail, power, or large infrastructure projects is a plusQualifications- Degree in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent)- Registered member of IET, CIBSE, or other recognized professional body- Proven experience delivering electrical design in infrastructure projects
