We're excited to offer a fantastic opportunity for a Compliance Specialist - Policy Framework & Governance to join our Risk & Compliance team.

This role is responsible for supporting the implementation and maintenance of the overall Compliance Framework, helping to create a 'Centre of Excellence' to be applied across the organisation. The role contributes to ensuring that the business complies with all applicable laws, regulations, and internal standards.

You'll manage and oversee compliance policies, procedures, and key controls - ensuring these are effectively communicated and embedded throughout the business. Working collaboratively across the wider Compliance function, you'll support the ongoing maintenance, control, monitoring, and reporting of practices including Whistleblowing, Conflicts of Interest, Gifts & Hospitality, Compliance Risks, and Breach logs. The role will also support the identification, design, and delivery of compliance training requirements across the business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day compliance support to the business, responding to regulatory or policy-related queries.
  • Assist in identifying, assessing, and tracking compliance risks and issues.
  • Participate in regulatory change reviews and help update internal processes accordingly.
  • Maintain compliance registers, documentation, and reporting metrics.
  • Deliver or support compliance training and awareness activities.
  • Contribute to incident investigations and ensure accurate, timely issue resolution.
  • Collaborate with other control functions (Risk, Legal, Audit, Data Privacy) to ensure coordinated compliance management.

Skills and Experience Required

  • Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements and internal policy expectations, with the ability to provide informed support and advice to the business.
  • Ability to interpret and apply laws, regulations, and rules that impact business operations.
  • Confident in supporting the drafting, review, and implementation of compliance policies and training materials.
  • Skilled in gathering and analysing compliance data to contribute to reporting and risk insights.
  • Lateral thinker with strong problem-solving and presentation skills.
  • Solid understanding of the FCA Handbook, including ICOBS, SYSC, PRIN, Consumer Duty, SMCR, and COCON.
  • Good understanding of compliance governance policies and frameworks in operation.
