Summary of Opportunity:
educationRnR is working on behalf of a large secondary school in Rayne, near Braintree Essex to recruit a dedicated and experienced SENDCo for a full-time permanent position starting in September. This is a fantastic opportunity to lead and develop inclusive practice across Key Stage 3, Key Stage 4 and Key Stage 5. The successful candidate will work closely with school leaders, support staff and external agencies to ensure the highest standards of SEND provision and student support.

About the Role:

• Lead the school s SEND provision across KS3, KS4 and KS5
• Ensure that students with additional needs receive appropriate support and intervention
• Oversee EHCP processes, reviews, and referrals
• Manage the SEND register and work closely with teaching and support staff
• Coordinate provision mapping, planning and monitoring of SEND support
• Work with parents, carers and external professionals to secure the best outcomes for pupils
• Line manage teaching assistants and inclusion staff
• Champion inclusive practice and advise on teaching strategies to support differentiation

The Requirements:

• Highly qualified in relevant domain of education to the role being applied for
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
• At least two years as member of the Senior or Middle Leadership Team in a similar setting
• Secure knowledge of how to safeguard children, leading from the front
• A proven record of strategic school development
• Knowledge and understanding of monitoring and maintaining the highest standards
• A commitment to the wellbeing of the whole community
• An understanding of, and dedication to, the broader life of the school
• The ability to quickly build teams, develop culture and implement effective processes and systems within a fast-paced, demanding, multicultural, international setting
• A passion for educational research and reading; and an understanding of how to take this from concept to results through impactful implementation
