About the Role:
We are seeking a hands-on and detail-oriented Management Accountant to join our clients team. This role is ideal for a finance professional who has experience in a smaller business, has been deeply involved in financial details, and is looking to grow into a Financial Controller role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Preparing and delivering monthly management accounts, financial reports, and analysis.

• Budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis to support business decision-making.

• Assisting with cash flow management and financial strategy.

• Working independently to produce financial reports and drive insights.

• Ensuring compliance with financial regulations and internal policies.

• Interacting with operational staff and interrogating financial data from depots to ensure accuracy and reliability.

• Understanding the business's operations and contributing to its financial success.

• Liaising with senior management and external auditors.

Requirements:

• Proven experience in a management accountant role, particularly in a smaller business setting.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a hands-on approach.

• Ability to work independently and take ownership of financial reporting.

• Experience interacting with operational teams and ensuring accurate financial data collection.

• Proficiency in financial software and Excel.

• Confident communicator who can challenge and investigate financial data when needed.
