Receptionist / Administrator

Signature Recruitment is working with a respected organisation to recruit a Receptionist / Administrator on behalf of a long-established London higher education institution.

This is a full-time temporary, office-based role for approximately three months, paying £16.90 per hour. You'll play an important part in a welcoming and dedicated team. The team provides essential administrative and reception support within a professional and compassionate environment.

Working five days a week in the office, you'll provide professional and empathetic support to visitors and participants attending appointments. You'll also ensure the team's administrative processes run smoothly. Receptionist / Administrator - Key Responsibilities:

• Provide front-of-house and back-office support, answering calls and responding to queries with professionalism and care.
• Welcome and check in visitors and participants, ensuring appointments are recorded accurately and information is shared promptly.
• Monitor attendance and communicate any changes or delays to the wider team to maintain smooth operations.
• Maintain accurate records using the internal database and support filing, scanning and general administrative duties.
• Assist colleagues with ad-hoc administrative tasks, ensuring departmental processes are well organised and compliant.
• Uphold excellent customer service standards, showing understanding and empathy when assisting visitors and participants.

Receptionist / Administrator - Key Skills:

• Previous experience in a receptionist or administrative role, ideally within a busy or sensitive environment.
• Strong communication skills with a confident, polite and empathetic manner.
• Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure while managing multiple tasks.
• Excellent attention to detail, organisation and record-keeping skills.
• A proactive, flexible approach and a genuine desire to support both colleagues and visitors.
