Part Time SEN Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a part-time SEN Teaching Assistant to join a nurturing nursery school in Dunstable. This role involves supporting a child with additional needs who is blind. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a passion for inclusive education and a background in early years.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Provide one-to-one support to a child with additional needs, focusing on tailored learning and development activities.
- Assist in creating a supportive, accessible, and inclusive learning environment.
- Adapt communication and teaching methods to meet the needs of the child.
- Collaborate with teachers and parents to maximize the child's engagement and progress.
- Monitor and report on the child's progress in relation to personal learning goals.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Must have qualifications in early years education.
- Experience working with children with special educational needs, particularly visual impairments, is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of the needs of young children and the ability to engage them effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with staff and parents.
- Patience, empathy, and a dedicated approach to inclusive education.
