• Start Date: After October half term, until the end of the school year with the possibility of becoming permanent

We are seeking a part-time SEN Teaching Assistant to join a nurturing nursery school in Dunstable. This role involves supporting a child with additional needs who is blind. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a passion for inclusive education and a background in early years.

Day-to-day of the role:

• Provide one-to-one support to a child with additional needs, focusing on tailored learning and development activities.
• Assist in creating a supportive, accessible, and inclusive learning environment.
• Adapt communication and teaching methods to meet the needs of the child.
• Collaborate with teachers and parents to maximize the child's engagement and progress.
• Monitor and report on the child's progress in relation to personal learning goals.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Must have qualifications in early years education.
• Experience working with children with special educational needs, particularly visual impairments, is highly desirable.
• Strong understanding of the needs of young children and the ability to engage them effectively.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with staff and parents.
• Patience, empathy, and a dedicated approach to inclusive education.
