We're looking for Communications, PR and Social Impact Intern. Based at our new office based in Paddington, you'll support the team and maintain processes that enable the delivery of communications and social impact projects and campaigns for the Urenco Group.

What will your day look like?

  • Supporting the creation of engaging and effective written and visual content, and publishing it in a targeted way across web, email, social channels and publications.
  • Supporting internal and external engagements and events, including briefings, seminars, workshops, forums, receptions and key conferences, helping to develop and implement detailed event plans.
  • Supporting the coordination and publication of key announcements and other communication activities by maintaining a comprehensive calendar of communications activity.
  • Working with a wide range of colleagues to support delivering Urenco's social impact programmes.
  • Providing day-to-day proactive support to the Head of the Communications team, including the effective flow of work through their office and the efficiency of their department by improving processes, editing presentations, and letters and drawing up key messages.
  • Other duties will include organising meetings, developing and issuing papers, and managing other logistics

What do you need to be great at this role?

  • Working towards a BA/MA degree, or equivalent qualification, in English/English Literature, Marketing, Advertising, Communications or a related discipline.
  • A level English Language or English Literature, or equivalent is desirable.
  • Experience of using MS Office applications including Excel, Word and PowerPoint to an Intermediate level.
  • Excellent eye for detail.
  • Engaging and accurate writing skills, confidence in copywriting and editing content.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to develop relationships with a wide range of internal and external people
