Business Development Manager - The Role:
Our client is seeking a proactive Sales Manager to drive new business development, targeting merchants in retail, travel, hospitality, and financial services. This is a high-impact role where you ll generate leads, build relationships, and close deals with top-tier clients.
Business Development Manager Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and secure new business with merchants processing £10m-£50m in card turnover
- Self-generate at least 75% of your leads through networking, cold outreach, and industry events
- Work closely with marketing and product teams to deliver tailored payment solutions.
- Negotiate contracts and foster long-term client relationships
- Keep pace with industry trends to maintain a competitive edge
Business Development Manager - About You:
- You are a motivated sales professional with a strong track record in B2B sales, ideally within fintech or payment solutions. You excel at generating your own opportunities and thrive in a fast-paced, results-driven environment
- 3+ years of B2B sales experience, preferably in payments, acquiring, or gateway services
- Established network in retail, travel, hospitality, or financial services sectors.
- Proven ability to self-generate 75%+ of leads through proactive efforts.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Familiarity with payment processing and merchant needs is highly desirable.
