Night HGV Technician needed

Our client, a privately owned truck franchise, is seeking for a HGV Technician to join their team.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for fast and accurate diagnoses using diagnostic tools and for choosing the right repair techniques.

Role: Night HGV Technician

Hours: Monday to Thursday 6 pm - 6 am

Location: Hemel Hempstead

Key Responsibilities:

• be responsible for fast and accurate diagnoses using diagnostic tools and for choosing the right repair techniques
• work independently to maintain and repair DAF vehicles and components
• carry out a range of inspections (MOT, tacho, etc.).
• provide support and daily mentoring for less experienced technicians
• carry out final checks on work that has been completed

Requirements:

• A completed secondary vocational education, NVQ Level 3 qualification.
• A broad vehicle-related technical knowledge, preferably of DAF products.
• An extensive experience in carrying out repairs and maintenance on trucks, components and associated vehicles.
• Familiarization with developments in the automotive industry.
