English Teacher (Part-Time, Fixed-Term)

A leading international secondary school is seeking a dedicated and experienced English Teacher to join their team on a part-time, fixed-term basis to cover maternity leave.
The Role
You will deliver high-quality English teaching across Key Stages 3 to 5, supporting students within a bilingual and multicultural environment. This is an excellent opportunity for a teacher with experience or interest in both the British and French education systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach English across KS3, KS4 and KS5
- Contribute to curriculum development, including:
- Schemes of work
- Assessments and mock examinations
- Enrichment activities and educational trips
- Collaborate closely with departmental colleagues
- Participate actively in wider school life
Candidate Requirements
- Recognised teaching qualification (e.g. PGCE/QTS, or French equivalent such as CAPES, CAFEP or Agrégation, or equivalent)
- Experience teaching English at secondary level
- Strong understanding of the French curriculum (essential)
- Ability to teach from a native or near-native English perspective
- Excellent teamwork skills, energy, and a proactive approach
Ideal Candidate
- Experience teaching in France or within an international/French school network (desirable)
- Familiarity with both Baccalauréat and GCSE/A-level pathways
- Ability to teach across a fsecondary age range
- International teaching experience (desirable)
- Proficiency in French (advantageous)
