GAMCARE
London
Full Time
Permanent
As a Women's Services Officer, you will play an important role in delivering and developing dedicated support spaces for women affected by gambling-related harm, whether through their own gambling or that of someone close to them. You will facilitate safe, structured peer support sessions online and face to face, working collaboratively with women with lived experience to shape content that reflects their needs. Through your work, you will help ensure women can access compassionate, gender-responsive support that recognises the complexity of their experiences and supports them on their recovery journey.
You will also contribute to the continued development of GamCare's Women's Pathway, working closely with colleagues across services to strengthen referral routes and embed good practice in peer support provision. The role offers the opportunity to influence how support for women is designed and delivered within a national organisation committed to reducing gambling harms. For someone passionate about improving outcomes for women and committed to recovery-focused practice, this is a chance to make a meaningful and lasting difference.
About you
We are looking for an individual with experience of facilitating safe, inclusive spaces for women, ideally within services supporting gambling harm, mental health, substance misuse, domestic abuse, criminal justice or related areas. You will understand gender-responsive and recovery-focused practice, feel confident supporting women with complex needs, and value the importance of lived experience in shaping services. You will be organised and collaborative, able to manage group delivery alongside accurate record-keeping and assessments and committed to ensuring women affected by gambling harm receive compassionate, timely and effective support.
