Paediatric Speech and Language Therapist (Specialist School)

Locum Contract - 6 months initially

Monday to Friday, 09:00 - 17:30 (9-hour days)

350 per day (Outside IR35)

Based at a Specialist School in Hammersmith (May be required to travel to other Special Schools within Hammersmith, Fulham and Chelsea)

Children are aged 3-19.

Our NHS Trust are recruiting a Paediatric Speech and Language Therapist for their Special Schools in Central London for a 6 month initial contract.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver speech and language interventions as outlined in children's Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs).
• Primarily work within the assigned special school, supporting students with communication needs.
• Work alongside Occupational Therapists (OTs), teachers, and other professionals to ensure holistic support.
• Maintain accurate and timely notes after each visit, ensuring continuity of care.
• Provide regular updates to teachers and parents regarding student progress and therapy recommendations.
• Conduct speech and language assessments, reviewing and adapting therapy plans as needed.

Requirements:

• HCPC & RCSLT registered.
• Dysphagia experience required.
• Minimum 2 years' paediatric SLT experience (including schools)
