Tradewind are working closely with a mainstream primary school in Bedford who are looking to appoint a passionate KS1 teacher to cover maternity leave from September 2025. This is a full-time role within a well-established and friendly team who are committed to providing a nurturing, high-quality learning environment for every child.

You'll be teaching a delightful Key Stage 1 class with a mix of eager learners and bright personalities, supported by experienced TAs and a proactive leadership team.

Classes are yet to be allocated so there may be the option to teach in your preferred KS1 class.

As the KS1 Teacher, you will:

• Plan and deliver engaging lessons aligned with the national curriculum

• Create a classroom environment that fosters curiosity, confidence, and independence

• Use a range of strategies to meet the needs of all learners, including those with SEN or EAL

• Monitor and assess pupil progress, providing regular feedback to pupils and parents

• Work collaboratively with colleagues, support staff, and the wider school community

What are we looking for in a KS1 Teacher?

• QTS (Qualified Teacher Status)

• Recent or relevant experience teaching in KS1

• A creative and reflective approach to teaching and learning

• Strong understanding of the KS1 curriculum and assessment frameworks

• A commitment to safeguarding and the welfare of children
