Our client is currently seeking a Senior Planning Officer on a contract basis. This position offers a unique opportunity to shape planning policies and make a significant impact within the industry.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Developing and implementing comprehensive planning policies and strategies
  • Assessing and processing planning applications in line with statutory guidelines
  • Providing expert advice and recommendations on planning matters
  • Engaging with stakeholders, including the public, developers, and local authorities
  • Conducting site visits and preparing detailed reports
  • Ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and policies
  • Contributing to the development of policy documents and plans
  • Managing and prioritising a diverse caseload of planning applications and projects


Job Requirements:

  • Experience in planning policy
  • Strong understanding of planning legislation and procedures
  • Excellent analytical and report writing skills
  • Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and projects effectively
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and within a team environment
  • Relevant degree in planning or related field
