I am currently recruiting for an Intermediate Structural Engineer to join a dynamic and thriving Multidisciplinary Civil and Structural Engineering Consultancy based in Surrey. My client is an expanding firm with a strong emphasis on high-end residential projects, as well as a diverse range of work, including new housing developments, refurbishment projects, and collaborations with housing associations on affordable housing schemes.

Key Responsibilities:

As an Intermediate Structural Engineer, you will report directly to the Senior Engineer and take on key responsibilities within a variety of projects. Your role will include:

• Preparing structural and drainage designs and calculations for new builds and renovation projects
• Conducting site visits and attending design team meetings for ongoing projects
• Carrying out structural inspections, reporting on defects, and advising on remedial works
• Preparing residential drainage designs for UK projects

Skills and Qualifications:

To be successful in this Intermediate Structural Engineering role, you will need:

• A relevant degree (BSc or equivalent)
• Minimum of 2 years professional experience, preferably in the residential sector
• A proven ability to produce structural designs and supporting calculations
• A strong desire to work towards ICE or IStruct.E chartered status
• Excellent problem-solving, project management, and client relations skills
