Kitchen Assistant - Private Household in Central London £45K GPA 45 hours per week

A fully staffed private household in Central London is seeking a reliable, hardworking, and proactive Kitchen Assistant to join their team. The ideal candidate will have previous experience working in high-end or luxury restaurants as a Kitchen Porter or Kitchen Assistant, or in private households, with a strong understanding of the expectations and discretion required when serving UHNW clientele.

This role is hands-on and fast-paced, requiring a team player who can maintain the highest standards of hygiene, organisation, and service, while also supporting other household departments when needed.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, pantry, and back-of-house areas
• Wash dishes, glassware, cutlery, and kitchen equipment to a high standard
• Support the chefs with basic food preparation and mise-en-place as required
• Ensure stock of cleaning materials is well maintained and report when supplies are low
• Handle deliveries, unpack and store goods in the correct locations
• Assist with rubbish and recycling management
• Provide occasional support to other household staff with ad-hoc duties (e.g., errands, moving furniture, light maintenance tasks)
• Follow household protocols and maintain the highest standards of hygiene and discretion

Candidate Requirements:

• Previous experience in a kitchen porter, stewarding, or housekeeping role preferred (private household experience an advantage)
• Strong work ethic and a positive, "can-do" attitude
• Flexible and willing to help across different areas of the household when needed
• Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team in a fully staffed environment
• Reliable, punctual, and discreet

Hours & Compensation: 45 hours per week, 9:00 am - 6:00 pm, five days per week (including one weekend day).

Salary: £45K gpa
