Our client is a prominent player in the rail industry, currently seeking a Controller of Site Safety (COSS) to join their team for an upcoming contract based at Guildford Station. This is a night shift role spanning from 11pm to 5am, Sunday to Thursday, running from 06/04/25 to 08/05/25.
Key Responsibilities:
- Acting as the primary point of contact for safety on site during the project
- Ensuring all work is carried out in compliance with relevant safety regulations and standards
- Maintaining a safe working environment for all personnel on site
- Conducting thorough risk assessments and implementing necessary control measures
- Supervising and coordinating the activities of workers and contractors
- Reporting any safety incidents and near-misses promptly
- Liaising with management to provide updates on project safety status
- Participating in safety briefings and toolbox talks
Job Requirements:
- NCCA COSS qualification
- Proven experience as a Controller of Site Safety in a rail environment
- Strong understanding of rail industry safety protocols and regulations
- Ability to work night shifts at Guildford Station during the specified date range
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Attention to detail and strong organisational abilities
