• Location: Hayes, West of London - 5 days per week on-site
• Hours: 37.5 hours a week

Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated Materials Planner to join our client's production control department in the aviation industry. The successful candidate will ensure the supply of materials meets the production schedule, maintaining operational and production continuity.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide and maintain the schedule for the supply of externally provided materials to meet production requirements.
• Manage day-to-day work order materials, including sourcing internally from stock or informing purchasing of requirements.
• Assess volume requirements against planning assumptions and ensure stock processes align with production plan requirements.
• Monitor inventory levels against agreed target levels and aid logistics in setting safety stocks.
• Implement and support continuous improvement initiatives and identify areas of improvement.
• Promote and monitor compliance with legislation, company policy, and codes of practice relating to Health and Safety at Work.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Experience in material planning, preferably within the aviation industry.
• Proven use of advanced interaction with ERP systems
• Competent in Microsoft Office applications.
• Knowledge of BoM, route, and fundamental production planning concepts.
• Understanding of LEAN, JIT, and process improvement techniques.
• Excellent communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
• Right to work within the UK without any restrictions.

Working Conditions:

• Monday - Friday or Tuesday - Saturday (depending on business needs)
• Able to work shifts - earlies and lates
