SEN Teaching Assistant (Full-Time, Long-Term)

Location: SEN School (Ages 4-19) Specialisms: Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) & Profound and Multiple Learning Disabilities (PMLD) Contract: Full-time, Long-term via Agency

Are you passionate about making a positive impact on the lives of young people with special educational needs? We are seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a vibrant and supportive school environment tailored for students aged 4-19 with ASD and PMLD who have Education, Health, and Care Plans (EHCPs).

Role Responsibilities:

• Support students with varying levels of needs, including personal care where required.

• Assist in delivering tailored educational and therapeutic programs.

• Work closely with teaching staff, therapists, and other support staff to promote student engagement and well-being.

• Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment for all students.

• Monitor and track student progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents as needed.

Ideal Candidate:

• Previous experience working with individuals with ASD, PMLD, or other complex needs.

• Understanding of EHCPs and strategies to support children with diverse requirements.

• Strong communication skills, patience, and empathy.

• Ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and families.

• A proactive and adaptable approach to learning support.
