We are looking Childrens Practitioner - MASH Team within Hertfordshire County Council.
The Role
- The role of a child practitioner is to support the social workers within their role, this includes;
- Supporting the Social workers completing and obtaining consent, via email and face to face
- Completing chronologies, Case summaries and genograms
- supporting to complete early waring case transfers when cases are being transferred to family safeguarding services.
- supporting with closing cases
- supporting with stepping cases down to early help services.
- completing CAFCASS information requests
- supporting with Child Looked After requests.
- Completing safeguarding welfare check forms
- Direct work with children to encompass the Voice of the Child
- Supporting the Child Advice and Information Officer in the team when required
- Help to facilitate Child Protection Medicals for children and sometimes transport children to medicals.
- Chair pre births meetings
- Support in completing MARAC research when needed
- Referrals to universal and community bases services
- Support to complete Genograms
Experience preferred:
Minimum of 12 months' experience of working within the Health and Social Care sector as a Support Worker in the UK
The team:
- Well-structured organised team, growing their staffing levels
Minimum Requirements:
- 1 year experience in a similar role within the UK
- Enhanced DBS/CRB (we can obtain for you)
- Eligibility to work in the UK
- NVQ level 2 in Health and Social Care
